10 Things I Learned This Week

I learned that...

#10 Tickle Me Elmo TMX is funnier when it's on fire.

#9 It's possible to make roses from maple leaves.

#8 Women have been shown to develop their highest blood alcohol levels immediately before menstruating, and their lowest on the first day of menstruation. This can be related to hormone level shifts. There is also evidence which shows that premenstrual syndrome with its emotional and physical symptoms and de-stabilized blood-sugar levels can trigger excessive drinking by some women.

#7 Bambi and Thumper exist in real life.

#6 The army knife corkscrew corkscrew aka the waiter's corkscrew...BAD.
The winged corkscrew...GOOD.

#5 Breakfast cereal was once thought to cure the "ills" of constipation and masturbation.

#4 Eating with your fingers can be classy and sanitary...oh and I forgot DEAD SEXY. ;)

#3 Saying you have no time to read is now not an acceptable excuse. You can receive small sections of entire books e-mailed to you daily...and it's free.

#2 Showing people what 200 calories of what actual food looks like can be a great educational tool.

#1 "The obvious is what we learn before we are eighteen."
